EEACS Stakeholders, As we look forward into the 21-22 school year, we are excited to announce some positive changes that
we will be making at Executive Education Academy Charter School. We have taken some time to reflect
over the past seven years and this year we took a good look at where we stand academically when it
comes to student growth and achievement. After many passionate conversations about what our school
needs, we can confidently say that we are well aware of the specific areas we need to improve upon and
we also know our strengths that we can capitalize on. Please be advised that we have based all the
changes we are about to share off of those identified areas.
With that being said we have decided to move forward with an organizational structure that splits our
current K-12 structure into two main levels starting this upcoming fall. Our first level will be our elementary
level, which will be Kindergarten through fifth grade. Our secondary level will be sixth through twelfth
grade. The reason for this change is to support our staff and students as we embark upon a major
curriculum and instruction initiative that we will implement in the fall of 21-22. Our instructional staff will be
working on unpacking standards, aligning our instruction to the state standards, and providing various
opportunities for our students to access the standards through the universal design for learning. This
initiative will work best in both grade level & vertical teams, with an emphasis on collaboration and data
collection & analysis. We will continue to have a separate elementary, middle, and high school space in
terms of physical location for students and communities within our building.
Our goal at EEACS is to prepare students with the skills necessary to be successful following graduation,
and it is our responsibility to not only prepare our students to be college and/or career ready, but also to
prepare our staff for these challenges.
It is imperative that we have the necessary resources and support systems in place to ensure our
success with this goal. Therefore, the following changes will be made to accompany our new
Elementary/Secondary school structure.
● K-5th grade will be self contained classrooms taught by one main classroom teacher. A couple of
classrooms will have 2 teachers to co-teach and support students. Students will continue to have
6 different special classes, which will rotate on a 6 day cycle as they did in previous years. In
addition, we will have two reading specialists and two math specialists to support with
subject-specific coaching and intervention.
● 6th-8th grade will run on a block schedule and see four different core teachers, in addition to
three special classes and one intervention class for all students, all school year. In addition, we
will have one reading specialist and one math specialist to support with subject-specific coaching
and intervention.
● 9th-12th grade will run on an A/B block schedule with built in opportunities for electives, credit
recovery, and clubs, which will be accessible through a community lunch period. Students will
have a block lunch period, which will allow time for additional educational opportunities.
Administration is working towards a plan for offering vocational options to students for the 22-23
school year.
In addition to these exciting changes, all teachers at EEACS will be provided additional data meeting time
in their schedules. This will allow for time to meet with colleagues to discuss student assessment data
and to share strategies that can be made to support students better throughout the school year.
We understand that these are big changes but we are looking for big results. Please understand that
these things take time and we are fully prepared to support students, teachers, and families as we move
