Tyrone ‘Ty” Reed serves as Corporate Safety Officer and Loss Control Representative at Alvin H. Butz, Inc. In this critical role he has responsibility for corporate compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. Ty holds a B.A. in Public Relations/Speech Communications from Shippensburg University. His varied career experience has been highlighted with numerous industry accomplishments, certifications and awards. Ty has an Advanced Safety Certificate from the National Safety Council, is OSHA certified and an OSHA Outreach Trainer. He was recipient of the 1992-93 “Safety Professional of the Year” award presented by the American Society of Safety Engineers. Ty’s breadth of knowledge and experience bring a valuable perspective to EEACS’ Board responsibilities.
Despite the demands of work and related travel, Ty engages in a number of important extracurricular and civic activities. In addition to serving EEACS, he is a Director of the Boys and Girls Club Lehigh Valley and a Founder/Member of the Andre Reed Foundation. His Safety credentials include service locally as Founder/Member of the Lehigh Valley Safety Committee and with Lehigh County Vocational Technical School (Safety Advisory Council).
